#1. No matter what Ezra “Journolist” Klein writes, the fact that 13 of the 15 states mentioned above who TAKE the most money for WELFARE are BLUE states!!!!
You do not need to post the JournOListers article in WaPo – My response to that, via my post here was just that, refuting the fact that Captain MORON has no clue how to actually put forth ALL facts – you know, kinda like what the factors are for determining why certain states receive more than they pay out – Military bases, elderly flock more to the South than they are expected to stay in the North when they retire, which effectively means they use more programs like MEDICARE, SS, possible food stamps, etc.
Tis way Ezra Klein is an ultimate FAILURE as a journalist and reserved to writing BS pieces like he did, because if he had HALF a brain and ANY journalistic integrity, he would know how to conduct a THOROUGH investigation before he published such BS pieces, and he would have NEVER had to start JOURNOLIST Club to try and BS the public of real facts!!
Are you sad it wasn’t FOX? you loser, face the facts & live with it crybaby.LMAO
You’re a fool. The king has no clothes. The whole point is the states with the
highest tax rates require the most welfare.

What a load of crap. How about we look at real numbers here, what states received more federal aid than federal taxes paid into the system? How about we look that up? I could care less if California paid out more in welfare to their on citizens than anyone else, they at least did it with their money. Meanwhile, states like Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, Arkansas, etc.. have their welfare system funded by those blue states you are trying to castigate.
Darn, you comment really wasn’t there when I started typing mine!
Anyone know how debtor states play into these numbers? Those states, predominantly Republican, that pay less into the federal government they they get back. For example Alabama gets a whopping $2 back for every $1 they pay in. Is this not welfare? After all, other states, Like California have to pay more and get less to cover them.
There’s also the issue that the states with the higher unemployed will have more welfare, but it should only be temporary. How do these numbers compare to states with more sick and hungry people? Quality of life? Just saying, this is really over simplified to push an agenda. There is no one in California that want to give help to anyone who doesn’t need it.
I manage a work force across 8 states, and have seen some real suffering because the state they live in doesn’t have state disability like we have and pay for out of our pay checks in California. A 59 year old in Utah that had to have hart surgery and couldn’t come back to work, no more healthcare, no ,more income; Utah, if you can’t work, you have to spend yourself into the poor house before you get help. What’s the motivation to save? A young 40 year old got cancer, and after a year died, if it wasn’t for my company paying his health insurance for a year (most wouldn’t do that!) and state disability insurance (again, paid for from our pay checks) they would have had their world turned upside down, more than it already was.
States receiving the most federal funding per tax dollar paid:
1. New Mexico: $2.63
2. West Virginia: $2.57
3. Mississippi: $2.47
4. District of Colombia: $2.41
5. Hawaii: $2.38
6. Alabama: $2.03
7. Alaska: $1.93
8. Montana: $1.92
9. South Carolina: $1.92
10. Maine: $1.78
it seems who ever created these so called statistics for welfare states does not live in the “real world” and I’ll bet your polls for past election also had romney in a landslide..
Too bad, so sad,,,,Obama rules till 2016,, then maybe the country will wise up and Hillery will be the next President.
Laughing, can’t handle the truth can you? Yup, most liberals can’t because those that they elect to represent them lie to them all the time. Sad pathetic little people you liberals are.
I love it when you stupid liberals can’t handle the truth. Numbers don’t lie. Blue states depend more on government handouts than red states do. Notice also that these states are also mostly UNION states. You fools can’t run your own lifes and that’s why you depend on government or unions to do it for you.
Leave unions out of the welfare. Try learning a trade I don’t need welfare when I make $38 a hour.
